| Children in bed with you or in their own beds? | | So I am trying to decide what to do here. I have an 18 month old daughter who sleeps in my bed with my husband and myself. We just had another beautiful baby girl two weeks ago and I do not know if I should let her sleep with us or make her sleep in her crib. I prefer both actually. I know there is the fear of rolling over on them but motherly instinct, I do not believe I could do that. If she so much as skips a breath, I am right there upright holding her. What is everyones input on this? Do your have a family bed or do they sleep in their own rooms? If they slept with you and you transitioned them into their own bed, was it difficult? | |

| When should we change beds.... | | for my toddler? She is 2 1/2 and still in her crib. When should she move to a big girl bed? I think it should be now but my husband thinks she is too young. We have an 8 year old but can't remember when he went to a big boy bed. My husband is worried about our daughter getting up out of bed and roaming the house. I told him we put the child gate up in her door. What are your thoughts and methods you used? | |
| | Rolling over in his crib | | My youngest is funny, he rolls over in his crib to his back (he's been sleeping on his belly recently) while he's sleeping, and he wakes up. Which means I find myself going into his room 2-3 times a night to flip him over and he'll just go back to sleep. What do you think I should do? do you think I should let him cry, (though I have, hoping he'd go back to sleep, but after five minutes he didn't so I went in there and flipped him) Or continue to flip him until he learns how to roll over the otherway, hoping he'll just roll himself over when he gets flipped? | |

| trying to stand up | | my baby is 8mos old and is always trying to stand up and can do it on his own by grabbing onto railings of his crib, etc. i let him since i guess he feels strong enough but others tell me not to cos his bones are still too soft and they fear it'll get deformed or something. he sits up and kneels and crawls pretty fast, doesn't that mean he's ready for something else? I'm afraid that if i keep him from discovering new things, it'll stunt his development. | |
| | Fresh Crib Sheets | | You aill three or more waterproof pads, and 3 or more crib sheets. Layer the sheets and waterproof pads on the crib or bed so when your child gets sick or wets the bed in the middle of the night all you have to do is take off a layer. Saves a lot of time in the middle of the night so you can get back to bed. | |

| children sharing rooms | | I have a four month old and a two year old (both boys), the four month old currently sleeps in the play room in his bassinet at night, but sleeps in his crib in the boy's room during his naptime. We would like the boys to share a room, but I am very hesitant to put them in the same room. My 2 year old is a very light sleeper, and I am scared the baby will wake him up alot in the middle of the night. DO you have any suggestions on the easiest way to do this? Thanks in advance! | |
| | When did your child go in a "big kid" bed? | | My daughter is about to turn 3 and she still sleeps in her crib. She is a very small 3...just 25 lbs and she loves her crib. She has never asked for a big girl bed or anything. I have thought about trying her in a big bed, but she sleeps so good in her crib..she still can't climb out or anything.
Here is my other dilemma...we are moving to Florida in about 5 months. I am afraid to try to make any kind of major transition right now since she will have a major one in a few months. ya know?
I woudl like to hear your thoughts...when did your kids go in a "big kid" bed? My son (5 yrs) is just now going in his own bed from our family bed. My daughter never liked sleeping with us. | |
