Need potty training advice
My daughter is 2 and a half. She is ready to learn to use the big girl potty dang it! I should say mommy is ready for her to learn to use the big girl potty. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have bought a potty chair and traiing pants, now it's just time to figure out how to get her to associate them with going potty. She will sit on the potty chair as long as she isn't bored, but she never actually uses it if you know what I mean.
Is it ok to be a big girl?
I have a deep discussion mostly for us gals....but men you can answer only if your nice and respectful. Ima big girl...peoplle always tell me you should lose weight, well guess what, im happily married my sex life is WONDERFUL, i keep up fine with my 2 year old .....so should i lose the weight to make everyone else happy?...my doctor says in have good BP and great heart.....i guess you have to lose 100 pounds to make society happy....what do you think?
crib to a big girl bed
I have a 16 month old daughter who sleeps in her crib. I heard that some people moved their kids to a big kid bed when they were 12 months. When is the best time to switch from a crib to a bed? Do you have any tips to keep her in her new bed so she won't wonder the house, especially on the first night?
Potty Training Books
I do have a few ideas about potty training, but I want to havea few more under my belt when I begin this process. All kids are different, so what may work for one, won't work for another. We plan on starting with how cool the big girl potty is and using cloth training pants so that my daughter will feel the wetness and not like it. I am hoping that will encourage her to use the potty. She already hates it when her diaper is wet. Does anyone have any good potty training tips for me? Potty training book suggestions would be great too. I hear that Bear in the Big Blue House has a great and ratehr cute episode on DVD about potty training. Anyone have that? Thanks for all the advice!
Big girl needs help
I have an issue. I want to please my husband sexually. He says I don't have anything to worry about but I am so insecure with my body. I want him to think I am sexy. Somebody please give me some advice.
She is going to Big Girl School on Monday, I am not Ready...
My little lady, is starting daycare on Monday. this will be the very first time that one of my children will not be in the care of family. I know that it is a great daycare and she will be just fine. I went there with her this morning to drop off some paper work and she wanted to just get right in there and start school. My question is, how to i get as ready as she is? How do i let go of my two year old muffin without losing my mind? LOL
Big girl bed
Some of you may remember my discussion a few weeks ago about my daughter and her sleep problems. Well that weekend I decided to go ahead and get her a new bed. I found an excellent deal on a really nice toddler bed including the mattress for only $40. It's an all wooden bed with a really nice mattress. I can't believe the girl sold it to me for so cheap. Anyways my daughter loves it! She has been sleeping great since we got her that bed. Most nights she will sleep through the night. And the nights she doesn't she just gets up and wonders into bed with us. And when she's back to sleep I will put her back in her bed for the rest of the night. I was orignally going to get her a twin bed since everyone keeps telling me toddler beds are a rip off and don't last long. But I couldn't turn down a $40 bed. And it will at least last until she's 4.I just can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast. First she's in a big girl bed and now potty training. Where does the time go?
its time to be a big girl
When i was baby girl i mean a childish one girl. I never experience a spank thing i mean someone's gonna hurt you in physical bacause if i have a fault my parents usually give me some advice and not to do it again they just give me some word. And i used to be a daddy's girl everything i want, everything i need i had it. If someone's gonna tease me or hurt me i used to call my brother or my dad. I never stand on my own i have to depend with others. There was a time that we had our camping i was so afraid coz it was my first time that i was separated with my parents i was scared coz perhaps maybe someones gonna hurt me or my some foolishness if you ever think of it i can handle this but i cant coz i depend with my parents. When im i college i never enrolled with my own i mean to pay or to get some sked for my subject my sister used to it she always there just to get some sked of mine. That's why i never learned something. And i always scared if i play in the stage and i dreamed to be a cheerleader. but im scared coz maybe someone's gonna tease and scared that i cant do it. But that feelings of mine i never thought that i became a cheerleader that was owesome then all of my friends...
flipnflush
I just seen this in my parenting magazine. It was a small advertisement but it looks really neat. I went to the website www.flipnflush.com and it only cost $12.95. My daughter is somewhat potty trained but instead of using her little potty chair she would rather sit on the big girl potty the only thing is she fell in once. I do have one of those potty seats that you put on top and remove after they are finished and then you have this bulky toilet seat sitting in your cabinet. Does anyone have one of these? How do you like it? How does your child like it?
Ladies: What makes you feel empowered?
As women we all have those times in life where we feel super charged, super empowered, super strong and super sexy! I think empowerment is sexy, it makes us feel in charge and on top of the world, like we can hold our own and make no apologies for it either. So grrrlz what makes you feel empowered? For me it's a lot of things, like certain songs (most things by sugababes... their vibe is sexy but more like the chasers vs. being the chased) or movies (Phat Girlz... very empowering cuz not only did the "big" girl get a super hot guy but she made a name for herself and made tons of $$$ and she went and claimed her guy) or certain magazines (Jane, Mademoiselle). Everytime I get paid for some work I've done online I feel empowered, it's nice to smile your pearly whites (chipped tooth and all) at the who people try and kick you while your down and show them that your spirit has got about as much brightness as the summer sun no matter how hard they try and crush that within you. It's kind of like an Orbit gum commercial, lol. For me what has been very empowering was realizing that I could still be whole without having to be the other half of some half-hearted, overly dry relationship....
