| Black Friday shopping? | | Does anyone here partake in Black Friday sales? Is this something you do traditionally every year? What stores do you like to go to, and what items are you specifically looking for? I want to hear all about your plans, your traditions, and what all you will be doing on Black Friday.Last year was the first year I actually went out shopping on Black Friday, trying to beat the crowds and get some of the best deals of the year. It's not as easy as it sounds, LOL! We were at Circuit City around 7am or so, the parking lot was packed, the store was full, wall to wall people. And of course, the couple things I went there for were nowhere to be found! I was amazed at how many people were out, it was freezing cold, and just to save a couple dollars. I'm not saying they were completely crazy, because of course that would have included myself as well. But there are definitely a lot of people that fight the crowds to make a break for their wallet. I don't think I ended up even buying much last year, but it was quite the experience.I do plan on going out again this year. My husband and I just got married a month ago, so we have a lot of wedding money and a few things in mind we'd like... | |
| | What are you going to buy this Black Friday? | | I remembered we bought our 42 inch flat screen TV Black Friday of last year in Best Buy. I also bought a pair of earrings in Kohl's. I wanted to get a new camera this time but my husband did not asked me what I want to buy. He jokingly told me we will just count the people waiting and camping outside Walmart at 1AM. So we will just eye spy on people? Sounds like signs of times.;-)I just hope he we can buy what I want to buy. How about you guys, anything in mind?

| | Do you have a Black Friday shopping horror story??? | | I been black friday shopping the last few years and haven't really had any problems other than having to listen to people complain. However, i have heard some horror stories. Pushing and shoving, people taking things out of others carts, and even fist fights breaking out. My mom actually works in a store and the last few years has had to work on black friday. Most of her co workers complain about having to work it, but she enjoys it. She has actually seen fights break out over items. She has been shoved around while bringing out sale items, but each year she works it. So have you seen or been in fights over items, or seen other outrageous behavior out people?? I have just had people angry with me because i get to story's way earlier and always get what i went for, and people can make some nasty comments. | |
| | Black Friday | | Well on Friday, Black Friday, I'm going to head out at night on Thanksgiving to set up a small tent in front of WalMart. This is my first year attempting this stunt, trying to get in and out ASAP with the guarantee of getting an XBOX for our kids. I thought that if tomorrow I get there and find no one or a few people there I will set up tent. I look at it as a night away from the family. I am taking a Gameboy with me and several blankets, along with a cell phone. Has anyone ever done this? Do you have any suggestions? Does anyone think I'm crazy? | |

I will have my kids and I have to work from 8 am to noon so I will miss all the Black Friday deals. | | How many people here are going to attend Black Friday? | | Black Friday is when shops and stores nationwide (at least in the U.S) make the most money, which is today, right after Thanksgiving. My brother, my friend and I are going to try to go as early as possible so we can get good deals on clothing, apparel, and maybe some flash drives. How about you? Are you going or wait till later when there aren't as much people in the stores grabbing those good deals? | |
